Well it all depends on what you wanna do. Want to make it faster? want to manouver better around it? Want it to look better? There about a million this you can do. But most of which is dependant on which OS youre using.
Random Nut had a little line of topics called "random hacks" with a few minor tweaks, tips and tricks. check em out...
