| Ok, for all the racing fans out there ever since Undercover was released and revealed as a failure ive been looking for the next hit. What will be the next good game after Most Wanted? I think i found it:
(Excerpt and image from wiki)
Race Driver: Grid (stylized as Race Driver: GRID and also known as GRID) is the latest addition to the TOCA Touring Car series by Codemasters, published and developed by the same company. It was announced on April 19, 2007, and is available for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo DS and PC. The game was released on May 30, 2008 in Europe, June 3, 2008 in North America, and in Australia on June 12, 2008.
Gameplay
This game is made by Codemasters, the creators of the TOCA/Race Driver series. GRID is a hybrid between arcade and simulator of mainly tarmac racing that consists of 43 cars. The game features an instant replay feature which allows the player to rewind time by up to 10 seconds. While the instant replay can be used as many times as the player wants, the Flashback feature can only be used a limited number of times, determined by the difficulty setting. There are several types of competitions for different cars: GT races, open wheel races, demolition derbies, etc. There are also several tracks from different countries, including Japan, United States and European tracks such as Le Mans and Spa Francorchamps.
Personal Experience
Im still playing it currently and its like a breath of fresh air, stunning graphix, no inhumane treatment of processes (unless you turn the AA setting WAAAY up there) and most of all the driving feels great, a bit into the sim world but not too much so you still get to have lots of fun. I think this one is a win.
The detail is just amazing, because these are the people that made all the Colin Mcrae games, you know that ull get cutting edge damage physics and graphix and you actually see the driver changing the gears and turning the steering wheel (something that LAZY EA still havnt gotten around to doing even though they've turned one of the best arcade racers out there into a sim...or at least tried to) and the icing on the cake..cockpit view and this one looks great..u can still see the road and the level of immersion you get from that is just astonishing..I'm completely blown away.
RD gives it a whopping 9.5/10. (Yes i know, some of the writing isnt red but i think ill let the stay the way it is so that noone has ne trouble reading the review..hope you enjoyed it )
Here are some screenies that i took...

No... Clone would mean something having the same value...no racing game is equal to GT!! NONE!!

| I dont think its a clone at all, GT is a TRUE simulator, very technical, i'd class GRID as an arcade game, something u just pop in, go and have lots of fun in the interim, but it just happens to look really nice as well.

| I'm a street racer junkie myself so I don't think I'd pick it up. I do however admire the attention to detail the designers put into the game.
The game doesn't seem arcade like to me though. It's very GT with it's realism. Then again I'm just going off the pictures and your content summary...not actual game play.

| Only with the damage effects and the racing types, it does have an arcade feel. I do miss running from 5-0 or having them run from me though for real...but im a racing fan so all in all i think its a great game.
