Sony will soon add a Google Internet search feature as part of a software update for the PlayStation Portable. On the PSP blog Monday, Sony said the new upgrade, v4.00, “replicates the Google Internet search experience. PSP users will need to be connected to the Web via Wi-Fi. The move represents Sony’s continued efforts to expand the Internet features of the handheld. Of course, what users really want is an easy way to download movies off the Web.

Nonetheless, the company continues to force users to buy the much rejected Universal Media Discs (UMD), the mini DVDs that Sony built especially for the PSP, or hack the device with video converters. Sony said the upgrade will also give users the ability to change speeds on playback of video stored on Memory Stick PRO Duo. This allows the viewer to scan quickly through a movie or slow it down.

You should be talking about something useful like how to downgrade! PSP no one cares about what sony is doing! because u cant play games off the memory card! afro

Yea i guest u r right but nt may persons on the forum gaves a f**k about psps...... But if u have a firmware that u want to downgrade r upgrade to a cfw post a request and i will tell u how to do it

Dark_AleX has released a tool that will turn any memory card into a PSP “Magic Memory stick” And can un-brick any PSP Slim or older fat PSP when used in conjunction with a Pandora’s battery unbricks a PSP and installs Custom Firmware 3.71 M33! pirat

A new is out now which downgrade 3.9!

Dark_AleX for all those how don't knw was one of the “pioneers” of PSP hacking. He was part of the group who invented the pandora battery to fix “bricked” psps.
He was also the person who first brought up and successfully created the PSP Custom Firmware. Which basically allows all psp’s to run an up to date firmware, but it will keep all the old features, such as can run pirated stuff etc.

But he has now retired and he passed all his work to one of his friends
