| I think reggae artists are more versitile that rap artists. Unlike rap, you have to be highly competitive to be recognised in the reggae world.

Dancehall artists grab too many direct lines from rap. Movado is a prime candidate. Be bites way too many of biggie & tupacs lines to even be taken seriosuly.
Rap is also influenced by dancehall but no direct quotes are stolen. In addition many rap songs have a specific theme. Which i find cool. Some dancehall artists do it but not many.
